REMS International was
established on 1st January 1998 to provide value added services in
the Environmental Management, Telemetry and Remote Event Monitoring,
Control and Management markets.
REMS 25x8 advisory and total solution services in addition to
the 25x8 technical training and seminar solutions were introduced as
an extension to its range.
An
innovative company, it is continually developing new services in
addition to refining its existing portfolio.
Its fundamental philosophy is to combine quality of service
with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of its customers
within the marketplace.
The
REMS engineers have extensive knowledge of the virtual engineer
product range and the 25x8 services ensuring that the REMS
International solution can Monitor, Control and Manage all of the
components regardless of manufacture.
The
St Albans Head Office affords easy access to the major motorway
networks, high speed rail links and all four major London airports.
The Company was founded by its current Chairman and Managing
Director, Simon Lascelles.

Director's
Profile
|
|
Simon
has worked in the Information Technology industry since 1986
in particular in Data Networking.
Simon has extensive knowledge of networking
technologies and a general understanding of the IT industry
as a whole. This
experience is best demonstrated by his achievements in the
Telecommunications industry with One 2 One, from the launch
of their service through to seeing the company mature into a
leading operator. The
role involved understanding and developing all aspects of a
telecommunications company's network and business
infrastructure from billing, network management and control
to physical infrastructure and operational efficiency
issues.
Simon's
broad experience of networking technologies includes the
design and development of the STEMS Network that is the
basis for the Virtual Engineer product range currently in
production. The
STEMS Network had an expected rollout of 4000 units.
On the 3 January 1998 the network successfully
handled 1,129,484 alarms.
In
addition to knowledge of the Telecommunications industry
Simon has wider experience gained in the financial field at
NatWest Bank, in manufacturing at Ford Motor Company Europe
and British Steel, in addition to working in the public
sector at the European Space Agency in Holland.
Simon is
also a recognised Technical Trainer having developed and
presented generic courses on IPv4, IPv6, VPNs, VoIP,
Ethernet, VLANs, and xDSL.
Clients have included Lucent, Nokia, Nortel, 3Com,
MCI WorldCom, UUNet, MoD, Learning Tree and The Phillips
Group. REMS
is the approved RQP Program training provider for the Texcel
Technologies Vision Engineer and VSYS Management product
ranges and provides fully qualified 3Com MNS LAN Solutions
and Lucent LCP VPN Technical Trainers.
