A command centre system that is expandable to keep pace with your future demands. The adaptable structure enables the system to be configured into a number of different formats depending on server and network size.
REMS 25x8 Vision Manager is an effective, mission critical, management system that has sophisticated, flexible software that is simple to operate and upgrade to meet future changes: whilst maintaining a high degree of operator security. Each remote site communicates in real time with the REMS 25x8 Vision Manager, sending alarms and exceptions. This important, vital information and data on each location is displayed in either an easy to understand VT100 script or via a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Information that improves overall site productivity and enables you to make informed and critical decisions on future expansion and requirements.
Developed for a client-server format each client operates on a Windows platform. The access router, client and servers are connected via an Ethernet LAN and TCP/IP WAN. Each client can be positioned together or remote in different districts, regions or countries. A facility to broadcast messages via the dialog option to other users enables 24x7 surveillance and control, without the need for expensive out of hours working routines.
The access router provides multiple, simultaneous connections with on screen alarm and event data being generated instantly, for immediate evaluation and attention. Each remote site communicates with the server by standard communications methods. Different communication methods are possible to the same server for complete flexibility of operation.

Split screen information and interactive displays that include all of the data and information required. In larger network applications high definition projectors can be incorporated as an option. With a simple point and click action, data and information can be filtered for ease of identification.
In standard operating mode, the screen displays a geographical map of the territory or region managed, the list of remote sites with alarm and event logs. Each remote site is positioned via a precise longitude and latitude co-ordinate to enable individual sites to be located easily. The maps can be enhanced with topographical features such as roads and rivers. Multiple regional maps can be displayed to suit your operating environment. A zoom facility is provided that automatically preserves the map aspect ratio and is used to obtain a high level of magnification. The map window also displays the total number of remote sites together with the number of alarm and alarm acknowledged locations.

Each site has a unique identification. The individual site list provides colour co-ordinated data on each location and displays the current, up to the second situation for each site. A periodic heartbeat is automatically received from each remote location and in the event of a communications failure, an alarm is generated informing the command centre that the location is offline.
Easy to understand, colour coded symbols are used to illustrate the status of each location. Individual sites can be constructed into specific groups for ease of identification or for geographical location.
The event log captures the events as they are reported in chronological order. The log contains information to enable analysis of the occurrence. It also includes the site ID, event type, event/alarm date and time to the second. The alarm data and a user definable ID with the alarm value, as appropriate, is also displayed.

The alarm log co-resides with the individual site information details. All alarms are instantly reported and are shown in red. Data incorporating the site and alarm ID, together with the time and date of the alarm at the remote site, is displayed. The individual site data file incorporates the alarm acknowledge procedure. This enables the user to access the site address, view the location globally, review active and acknowledged alarms and to enter corrective action instructions. The corrective alarm time out feature ensures that alarms are automatically regenerated; in the event of a failure to correct the fault in the time allocated.
The event and alarm logs can be exported to separate files so that user definable graphical information is complied for report creation and historical analysis.
To enhance the interactive alarm and event management programs, REMS 25x8 Vision Manager includes an alternative method of monitoring each remote location. The terminal login facility enables each remote Virtual Engineer to be accessed via a VT100 script emulation. Data on all aspects of the Virtual Engineer is shown and is constantly revised in real time. The information is accessed via a secure password routine and user menu.

The REMS 25x8 Vision Manager schematic GUI provides the user with the facility to create individual pictures and schematic representations of each aspect and component at the remote site. Images are created via bitmaps or digital photographs and assembled into each drawing and schematic as required. Colours and values are assigned to each element and are programmed to change in real time as events and alarms occur. Individual drawings and schematics can be cascaded to show the dynamic interaction between various elements and equipment, to let you identify, locate and mange events and failures effectively.
The GUI programme has a unique facility that allows the user to activate outputs on individual Virtual Engineers. Simple point and click actions provide direct, interactive control of the installed plant and equipment at each remote location, so that management and supervision is always maintained at the command centre.
REMS 25x8 Vision Manager includes programs that are flexible not only to meet your requirements today, but also the demands of the future. The Administrator and Configurator programs allow users to amend and change the operation and functionality of each remote site at the command centre.
The REMS 25x8 Vision Manager Administrator provides complete operational security and enables access to be assigned to individual users for specific tasks. These include the creation of new map structures, adding and deleting remote sites and alarm management.

The REMS 25x8 Vision Manager Configurator includes the facility to create individual system settings for single or groups of remote sites. Various elements can be combined into complex combinations via the use of Boolean logic expressions and assigned for the changes in alarm configurations, set point and reference values can be incorporated into the remote Vision modules. Complete new program uploads can be transmitted whilst maintaining total management and control of the remote site, new and existing locations.
Changes in alarm configurations, set point and reference values can be incorporated into the remote Virtual Engineer.
