REMS 25x8 solutions staff are able to take the system design and ensure the successful implementation on time and within budget, completing the solution with employee training plus support, management and maintenance services.  We can even manage your existing field and central site engineers to perform the installation work and gain a greater understanding of the products and their features, while maximising the benefits available from an experienced REMS team to guide and facilitate the deployment.

PROJECTS AND PROCEDURES

Each project that REMS undertakes follows a defined procedure with the resultant documentation.  The REMS International working practice is based upon PRINCE II project management methodologies and conforms to ISO 9000 standards.

Project Initiation Documentation - details the project structure and procedures.

Customer Requirements/Functional Specification - defines the technical and none technical requirements of the project.

Design Documentation - documents the solution that satisfies the requirements specified by the customer.

Installation Documentation - describes how and when the design will be implemented.

Acceptance/Handover Document - determines what tests will be conducted with their results to verify the success of the design.  It also includes any pertinent details required to operate the solution.

REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

The key to successful project implementation is understanding applications and systems requirements, deriving an effective solution and combining this with a project plan agreed with all relevant parties.

HOW DOES THE ADVISORY SERVICE WORK?

REMS Design and Solutions Advisory Service has been introduced as an additional benefit for customers.

When you contact the Advisory Service, REMS' dedicated advisory personnel will initially respond to your request for advice by discussing your particular enquiry, either over the telephone or, if you prefer, via e-mail.

This exploratory discussion will establish where REMS may be able to assist and a no fee, no obligation, diagnostic meeting can be arranged at the customer's premises.

At the conclusion of this free advisory meeting, various options can be considered and REMS will make verbal recommendations regarding an appropriate course of action.  Guideline costs and timescales will also be given.

STRATEGY OR PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION

Following the advisory meeting, the next stage would be for REMS to either develop a strategy or identify the specific problem.  A detailed project plan and complete quotation would also be agreed at this point.  The customer would determine which path would be most appropriate.

The detailed strategy document, or problem identification document, with suggested options for resolution would typically be complete in seven to fourteen days.

DESIGN SERVICE

When a strategy has been agreed it will require implementation.  REMS 25x8 solution team have the necessary experience to complete the implementation.

If the initial requirement was problem identification, REMS can also see the project through to resolution.

The exact solution is determined from our detailed understanding of your requirements.  For example a one-off design for a particular installation or, if a rollout for multiple installations is required, REMS develop a generic design.

25x8 LogoGeneric Design

A generic design is a specification that defines all necessary connectivity, resilience and performance required by a business system.  A specification of all necessary equipment, suppliers, cabling, configurations, generic power and environmental conditions are included with a recommended spares holding.

 

"One Off" Design

A "one-off" design, is developed for non-generic projects and includes a full specification from architecture to site installation.  REMS will analyse requirements and determine if a "one-off" design is appropriate.

The specification includes the overall architecture, configuration, suppliers and equipment, port and address allocations, site installation planning, equipment accommodation and testing.

IMPLEMENTATION OR RESOLUTION

The completed design document is then applied to implement the initial phase of the strategy or resolve the problem.

The implementation or resolution may require the project management of third party suppliers, your staff or REMS solution engineers.  This will depend on the nature of the implementation or resolution.

REMS 25x8 Solution Service provides regular and informative feedback.  You the customer will always be fully appraised of the current status of the project.

A viable solution, which completely meets the customer's requirements, will be achieved.  This solution will be concluded in the agreed timescale and fully documented in accordance with ISO 9000 and PRINCE II principals.

SUPPORT, MAINTENANCE AND TRAINING

REMS service can also support and enhance the working solution and if required, provide on site staff, a call out procedure or telephone support, which ever is deemed most appropriate and cost efficient.

This service includes maintenance of both hardware and software.  Training may also be included to ensure your own support staff and personnel understand the solutions provided.

REMS philosophy gives a real advantage over organisations who do not understand the benefits of training to achieve maximum benefit from the installed solution.
